Co-Op Schedule

Learning about chickens and eggs. We will cover basic chicken reproduction (it takes a rooster and a hen)! How eggs become baby chicks. Take-home a farm fresh egg.

We will be learning about seeds, what they need, and what it takes for plants to grow. Take home will be a small starter for a garden at home.

Soil, nutrients, and the different types. Water science and fun! Take home will be an activity to "test" your soil at home.

Chicken eggs should be hatching! We will learn about caring for and raising baby chicks!

What is weather, different types of clouds, storms, and making rain catchers.

Celebrating the 4th of July with history, the American Flag, and the Declaration of Independence

Beneficial bugs, pollinators, birds, fish, small animals, native plants, wildlife gardens

Tool safety, hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, hand saw, sandpaper, etc...), observe power tools (drill, circular saw, Dremel) and build a bug house, bird house, or bird feeder

learn about what money is, personal finance basics, and very basic business

learn about small engine mechanics, battery powered STEM kits

learn about alternative styles of gardening like aquaponics, hydroponics, greenhouses, and harvesting

each kid will have the opportunity to do a short "presentation" on a topic they are passionate about, "sell" a good they grew, made, or put together, and of course some end of summer party fun!
