Get ready for an egg-citing adventure at the Inman Family Farm Co-Op! In this hands-on course, we are going to explore the magic of farm-fresh eggs and discover exactly how a simple shell holds so much life.
Here is what we will be exploring together:
What is an Egg? We will learn about avian biology and what exactly is an egg. We will look at the different parts of the egg and even learn how to determine if an egg is fertilized or not!
From Shell to Chick: How does a tiny egg turn into a fluffy baby bird? We will study chicken development to see how they grow.
The Magic of Incubation: Mother hens do a great job, but we can hatch eggs too! We will learn how to start and run our farm incubator to keep our eggs perfectly warm and safe until hatching day arrives.
