Welcome to the Inman Family Farm! Kris and I (Krystal) started our homestead in 2018, and it has since grown into a bustling, beautiful hub of family, agriculture, and animal care. We spend our days enjoying the rewarding work of farm life, homeschooling our two wonderful kids, and making memories together as a family. We are so excited to open our gates and share our slice of the country with you!
Meet the Family
Mom: Krystal, I am the reason for the farm and the owner of Blue Ridge Canine, a business right here on the property where I train dogs for service and therapy work. I also work as the Administrator for my husband's behavioral health practice, Oak Tree Behavioral Health in Orange, VA. My background is deeply rooted in education and animal behavior—I hold a Master's degree in Human-Canine Life Sciences, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Animal Health), small business, have taught dog training classes, and even completed an internship as an Education Presenter for Walt Disney World! When I'm not dreaming up new farm projects, I love camping, fishing, and reading.
Dad: Kris works as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at his practice. Here on the farm, he is incredibly helpful (and very tolerant of my many ambitious projects!). To unwind, he enjoys practicing calligraphy and relaxing with video games.
Son: Konnor loves staying active. You can usually find him rock climbing at State Climb in Culpeper, tossing the football, riding his dirt bike, playing online games, or making new friends.
Daughter: Kayley: Kayley enjoys spending her time outside on the swing set, reading for her book club meetings, playing Roblox, and watching anime. She has also spent time horseback riding and did a year of Girl Scouts.
🐾 The Farm & Our Animal Crew
Our property is a true working homestead. Between our vegetable garden, aquaponics system, and dedicated wildlife garden, there is always something growing! We also share our farm with a wonderful, wild crew of animals:

The Dog Pack: We have seven amazing dogs, many of whom are involved in my training business! Meet Zira (a therapy dog), Rose (a service dog in training), Ember (a therapy dog in training), Kopper (Konnor's rescue beagle), Devi (Kayley's lab), Nikita (our shepherd farm dog), and Avalon (a sweet Labrador looking for her forever home). We also typically have one litter of purpose-bred Labradors a year, so you might just spot newborn puppies on the farm!

The Felines: Venus the gorgeous house cat rules the indoors, while KC Jones and Tessa keep an eye on things as our hardworking barn cats.

Livestock & Reptiles: We raise chickens for egg production and care for our friendly companion goats. Indoors, we maintain beautiful tropical aquariums and care for our pet corn snake, Spark. You might even catch a glimpse of local wildlife, like George, the farm's resident wild rat snake!
Whether we are planting seeds, caring for our livestock, or just spending time together it truly is a blessing to be able to homeschool and have our farm!
